Inebraska

Well, I've been in Inebraska since Tuesday night, hence the lack in posts lately. Inebraska is how Shannon refers to the Cornhusker state, since I always answer his questions about our trips or the grandparents with 'in Nebraska.' He just assumes I'm referring to his favorite place, 'Inebraska.'

It's been a good trip so far. We've driven 10 hours, stopped at June's for a quick happy meal dinner, settled in at Grandma and Grandpas, had an outing at my childhood swimming pool (what a dump that is now,) and then ran to Kellie's for a quick visit. All in the first two days of my trip!

Tomorrow Uncle Casey might take the boys up to the Memorial Stadium for a little 'Husker Instruction' (must keep them interested and current,) and then if the weather holds out, we'll all head to David City for the county fair and a Tractor Promenade. Square dancing tractors, only in Nebraska...

How long are you in Nebraska for? I would love to see you while you are here.

So Meadow Heights is a dump?? That's too bad, my Mom told me that they are thinking about closing it down.

I hope that you are having a great trip. Get back safely!

The rubber is just hanging off the boards, the bathrooms are (still) raunch, and THEY STILL HAVE THE SAME PEPSI CLOCK AND P A SYSTEM THAT THEY HAD 20 YEARS AGO.

The weird thing? A hose running along to top of the fence onto the lifeguard chair, constantly running (to fill the pool)???

They should probably demolish it. $2.75/kid over age 3, and $4/adult. They employ 7 lifeguards, with 4 on duty on a 90 degree day. Maybe 30 people at the pool. Sad...

Which means there is a wicked leak somewhere in that pool! Probably cheaper to fill it in then to repair it. You should see the crappy pool across the street from our place now, talk about crappy! Not to mention the little snotty lifeguards that work there. Well, it's mostly the female lifeguards that are total snots! They are completely rude to everyone. I can't ever remember the guards being mean to us......although we did get special treatment!

Love,
