Cleaning the house this afternoon, I came to realize two things. Nerds candy is officially BANNED from our house, first of all. We've vacuumed twice, and I can still see them in the carpet. Secondly, don't feed children Pringles potato chips after you vacuum. Duh.
Edited: Add Cheddar Popcorn to that list. AARRRGGGHHH!!!!

I know how you feel! We just moved into our new house and Mateo insists on eating vanilla wafers and crackers on my brand new area rug. Not to mention, he will try to climb on the couch with soggy food on his face and mash it into the couch. Luckily, we have a couch that is made out of that microfiber so it cleans fairly well.

And just because I'm not young doesn't mean I'm not nosy. I'm the Mrs. Kravitz of our neighborhood, but I'm also a heck of a neighborhood watch-dog, so I don't get too many complaints!
I remember eating NERDS out of the cracks of the sidewalk as a kid - just leave it in your carpet - the kids will get to it soon enuf.
Leah - four words - HAND ME DOWN FUNRITURE. until all kids are like 20 or something. I don't know - my oldest is 5 1/2 and I still wouldn't buy new. :0)
Don't have to worry about fun or nosy neighbors out here.
