Somebody Was Bored at the Post Office #2

Here was Shannon's birthday package in June:
And here's Riley's from the other day:
Really, Mom, how long ARE the lines at your local Post Office? Do they do this to all packages?

When was it delivered, or did you have the post office hold your mail while on vacation? I know you werent home by saturday but if it wasn't delivered by noon saturday I get my postage back. Let me know.

Dad.

Yeah, Dad, we got it by then. (Neighbors had been picking up our mail.)

I was referring to how long it must take them to cover your envelopes with stamps. This is the second time your mail came covered with stamps instead of metered.

See the update? Weird.

The good news? Apparently they finally used up all of the Ella Fitzgerald stamps, now they're on to something else.

Lines aren't long at all. They are just getting rid of stamps nobody else will buy.

too funny. I sent this link to my mom to see what great words of wisdom she has (since she is the trainer for USPS) hehe :0)

I'm sure they're trying to get rid of old stamps, but ALL the time??? Can't wait to hear what your mom has to say!

When I enlargesd Riley's to get a better look it was metered. The amount $0.00. Wierd is the word for it. I couldn't enlarge Shannon's to look at it more closely.

Sister Donata,

Shannon's was metered at $0.00 as well.

I personally think this type of thing is nuts. Talk about going 'postal,' this would do it...

Colleen ...
The US Postal Service takes the time, care, and patience to make the box pretty with several stamps for mail going to very special cusomers. A special package for a special person.

Miss Cindy, you are hilarious!

We just decorated our gifts with the funnies from the Sunday paper when we ran out of gift wrap...

And you're right, these packages were sent to very 'special' people. ;)
