A Day at the Lake

Yesterday Scott and Stacy invited us out to their cabin on Fair Lake, and the boys had a great time. They swam a lot, fished a bit, and simply wore themselves out (we had to wake Corey up this morning at 10:00!) Here's some pictures of the water play:

Shannon and Austin having a water battle.

Riley dug up the sand (found a leech!) and played with baby Aiden while Stacy looked on.

Corey was all over the place, practicing his kicking and bellyflopping off the dock.

We all took a ride around the lake in Scott's pontoon boat, cooked out on the grill, and shot water balloons off the dock (they didn't pop when they hit the water, even after being launched over 100 feet!) It was a great way to finish up the summer - our only real weekend left before school starts will be Labor Day weekend, and I'm sure Ken will have to work a few of those days.

Someome appears to be slowing up on our little guy updates. I'm not complaining but .... oh, what the heck, I am complaining.

Well, I really could tell you all about our boring days around the house... Riley read a book, Shannon watched tv, Riley played Pokemon on the DS, Corey asked a million questions, the boys ate lunch....

They're not even saying anything funny worth quoting! The dog days of summer are upon us...

Where is his lifejacket?!?!?!?!?!?!

Life jacket??? That's about two feet of water my boy is belly-flopping into. He couldn't drown if he tried.

Actually, we just don't do life jacket's anymore. Floaties if they're going into 5 feet of water or deeper, but that's it.
