Oh boy, what a week! We had two tons of dirt delivered to our driveway Monday and somebody had to move it. That job was pretty much mine. Then Monday night, Shannon decided to break a bone in his foot, just like his best girl did a week before. I guess nobody told him slippery footed pajamas don't mix with slippery slides.
I had Shannon home for three days, which is how long doctors make you wait, nowadays, before treating a broken bone in your foot. They gave me a choice between a boot or a cast for Shannon's foot. (Is that even a choice?) We went with the removable boot:
Shannon has to wear his boot for at least a month, and I am hoping his grandma gets up here so that I can get pictures of them together. Their boots are identical, and although Grandma has had hers for 1/2 a year, I'm pretty sure Shannon gets around quite a bit faster. Granted, she had surgery and all, but it still makes me giggle.
On top of this, we've had random pieces of furniture to pick up, assemble, and install, and the packaging has created quite a mess. This includes three tables an a wall-mounted 46" flat screen TV. (Happy 40th, Ken! And Happy Father's Day and Merry Christmas; hope you really really like it!)
We've also dismantled our dining room and are prepping it for yet another paint job. Then we get to move the computer room into the dining room, move a majority of the old living room furniture into the computer room, and make room in our living room for even more furniture. Ugg.
Needless to say, we've been busy around here and the chaos shows no signs of stopping!

Wow, what a week! Hopefully your weekend will be a little more relaxing.
How the heck did Shannon break his foot? I got the part about footed PJ's and slides....my question is how! He must be channeling his inner "aunt Shannon". Lord knows she is accident prone too!
Love,
Flea
Good question, I don't understand how he did it, myself. He just says he came down and his whole body crushed his foot.
Shannon broke his in Anna's backyard and she broke hers right in front of my yard. I think they were twins in another life.
Flea I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. Yes, he probably DID channel his Aunt Shannon!

Initially I thought he had sprained his ankle and told him a great big story about how Aunt Shannon sprains her ankles on a regular basis and he probably will too.
OR, possibly he takes after his DAD; who, also, broke bones at a very young age. When he came to me complaining that his arm hurt, I squeezed and moved his arm in various ways and asked him,"does that hurt?". He kept saying, "No". So I told him to go back and play. At the days end he kept complaing so we took him to the doctor and ------guess what, broken arm. My bad.

I thought it was three days later when you took him to the doctor?
Funny how stories get embellished by the grown up children to make you out to be the meanie!
