108.7 DEGREES. On my front porch. Today. The hottest day of the summer, literally.
Granted, the porch retains heat throughout the day, so the actual temperature is 103.7 degrees. 103.7 degrees on the kids first (long, hot) day of school. The boys were soaking wet and beet red after their one hour bus ride with no air conditioner. Uck.

Wow, it was 63 degrees today at 5:00. We have a cold front.

One more thing... Did Ken let you turn on the air?

The air was set to kick on when the house hit 86 degrees. (Ken has become more generous with it as the summer wore on...)
It kicked on at 3:30 and ran until 9:00pm, when I turned it up to 87 degrees to kick it off.
Our cold front should arrive in 24 hours, I can't wait!
I can't imagine that!
Mike keeps ours so cold (70) that I feel I need to put on socks and a blanket half the summer!
Yesterday's cold front made it nicer outside than in.
Don't worry - it is coming your way.
we were in the 80's yesterday. The cold front should reach us today and meet up with Gustav, and the rain will hang out over us for several days. Some areas had tornado warnings last night due to Gustav. No severe weather here just constant rain from 9 pm to 7 this morning. It is just a drizzle right now but the forcast is for more to come. Flash flood warnings until Friday morning. They were forcasting 3 to 6 inches. Hope you are cooler today. It never fails that the first day of school is the hottest. Does the school have air conditioning? Donata
The school does NOT have air conditioning!!! (I know this because I was working there for 3 hours this morning.)
The Computer Lab is the only air conditioned room at the school, and I snuck in there for a little break. Shhh... don't tell!
Check "Summer Weather" on the forum. I just entered an update so I don't want to repeat it. Glad you got some relief from the heat.
