There IS such a thing as a stupid question.

Ken just called me from some field in Southwest Michigan and asked, "Do you want me to stay out here and hunt tonight?"

"Uhh...?" So we had a little discussion about properly forming questions, and he just didn't get it. He keeps trying to trick me into encouraging him to stay out hunting from dawn to dusk rather than just telling me that he's going to stay out hunting. Because no matter what I say, he's going to do it anyway.

His variations on hunting requests go something like this: "Should I drive all the way home just to go back out at 3:00 AM or should I just stay out here?" or, "If I came home, I'd just sleep, and I could sleep here." Actually, these statements/questions are really annoying and soon I DO just want him to stay away.

Finally, after he played dumb for about five minutes I said, "You know what? I'm scrubbing toilets. Do you want to come home and help me scrub toilets?"

It worked! Ken gave up and said, "I want to stay out here and hunt, okay?" Which is what he should have said in the first place.

Colleen, is that what they call "venting"?
Stupid questions, like when Grammie asks "do you want to take the garbage out?" Ahhh, let me think, --- Ahhh, no. Or, "do you want to sweep the garage out?" Let me think again, ---Ahhh, no.
I feel better, how about you?

I do a lot of venting during hunting season, don't I? ;-)

It DID occur to me that you and Grammie are probably shooting daggers at me due to my last few posts... should I wait until AFTER my birthday to vent? ;-)

PS,

Just so you know, I'm the one who takes out the garbarge and just today, I swept Ken's hunting debris out of the garage. (I asked him to sweep it out last night but, unlike you, he chose to ignore my silly question.)

Ohhhh to Papa! Anyway weenie, good way to get him to state his actual question. After all, who wants to clean toilets. You should try my cleaner, it does all the work for you.

Kells,
what is your cleaner? Denny?
hehe :0)

and talking about silly questions...what is pelosi?

It's a phrase Papa and I are taking up. Like, "I think the bailouts are a bunch of Pelosi." or, "My husband says he helps me all time, but that's a bunch of Pelosi."

See: Pelosi; Speaker of the House

No June, Denny is NOT my cleaner. However, he is my shoveler, mower, dog pooper picker upper, garage cleaner, and sometimes launderer. So, I really can't complain.

My toilet cleaner is a clorox gel. It works great. You just line the bowl with it, leave it, come back, and poop be gone.

Then, for good measure, I use windex to clean the rim and the seat.

Yeah! OK, gotta go, I'm BUSHED!

I do think gels clean better!

I'm with you, Kels. Also, you gotta be careful out there so you don't get Bush-wacked. That would be an Obamanation.

Let's be Frank, if the government doesn't get their stuff together, they will have to deal with a very angReid populace. That would be a McShame.

The way things are going with the economy, the Great Depression will Palin comparison. I don't know about you, but those Congressional hearings are a bunch of Pelosi; they passed a lame bail-out package, and NOW they want answers?
