Cruella DeVille

Ever since I, in a postpartum funk, allowed Leigh to add a couple of highlights to my long curly hair, I have been dying my hair progressively lighter and lighter. Well, there was that one exception, where I went brown all over with weird red highlights. That lasted about 40 days.

Yesterday I made the decision with my NEW hairdresser to take my hair color in a different direction. It's much darker than before, and when I wear it naturally curly, the product makes it look jet black. I like the hair color quite a bit, but I'm guessing some of you will hate it. Here it is straight, and at it's lightest:

Please, no skunk or Cruella references...

All's I can say is - wow your grass is still green :).

Nice - I like it!

You're evil, ND!

Then again, I DO work awfully hard on my lawn so I guess I'll take that as a compliment.

haha

no seriously though - looks very nice ;)

The hair - or the yard? Whoever you are ND...

:0)

I am not sure if I like it or not on you - but I do like the color. I MIGHT have to agree with Shannon just a bit - but I don't want you to smack me b/c you said such nice things about mine...my first opinion is that it does KINDA make you look a bit older?!?!?!?

But in a good way - if there is such a thing - but then hey, you do have ANOTHER b-day coming up!!

I want to see it curly too!!

umm, both actually. The hair looks nice but I am jealous of all the work Colleen has done in the yard :).

Wow, June. I'm not positive, but I think that you just inferred that my Mother was OLD.

I could be wrong, but... well you might be in trouble. ;-)

Personally, I think the hair color might make me look a bit washed out? I'm experimenting with lipstick colors to rectify that. Red is interesting.

BTW, ND is Steve, and he's a BIG Husker Fan from North Dakota.

that good answer was for steve - or nd.

we must've been posting at the same time.

no i was not inferring that your MOM was old - but that you were. if you look like her - then she must look young!

Ha - know I can't be in trouble.

ND confused me. Then I figured out he avoided the issue. Yes your yard is very green.

Then, he says, looks very nice. Again wasn't clear. Hair or grass.?

Not sure about June's comment. Think she was digging herself out of a very DEEEEEP hole and didn't quite get near the top.

Bottom line.

Mom speaking.

TOOOOOOOOOOO dark. Not you. Not even close to me.

Don't wait 4 months to get rid of it.

I am a very definate mousey brown, same as my Dad.

Go mousey, or back to highlighting it.

You look older, way past your years...

Still love you,

Mom

Will deal with June at a later date.

I personally like the color with a few highlights. I have always known you with curly hair, (or when you would straighten it in junior high and put it up in a banana comb!)but I must say that I am loving the straight look a lot! I think it looks very sleak!

Love,
Flea

I vote keep it. Actually, you don't look like mom, you look like me! Especially if you keep it a little curly! The only difference is that my complexion is definitely whiter than you, however, you can still pull it off.

-Kellie

p.s. I do like it better curly.

JunesHGP said...

i agree - with the curly she did look more like you.

Of course, that comment will be what makes her change it back. Who wants to look like me?

...and Dad will encourage you to keep it up until I DO change it back! Yikes, he just doesn't like it!
